According to Forbes magazine, FIDEA was number one advisor for mergers and acquisitions in Poland in 2007. This was the record year for mergers and acquisitions in Poland. The transactions value reached almost PLN 40 billion.

FIDEA marked its presence on this dynamic market through such deals as: the takeover of voestalpine Stahlhandel by Złomrex, the acquisition of Bank BISE by DnB NORD, the leveraged buyout of the Enterprise Investors funds by Agros Nova, the merger between Hoop and Kofola Group, or the takeover of Lira Group in Russia by Cersanit.

Well, we must admit that 2007 was a good year for us, but we believe it wasn’t just a stroke of luck, but a result of consistent work on creating transaction ideas and building relationships with clients. It’s pleasing that not only have we been successful on the Polish M&A market but also we have marked our presence in the region. Now, what’s ahead of us is to confirm the leading position of FIDEA in M&A in the coming years and look for challenges in new business areas, which we already think of.
