On September 21, 2007 a group of investment funds completed the acquisition of the travel portal Wakacje.pl, from its founders – Mariusza Panek and Michał Kaczorowski. The parties decided not to disclose the value of the transaction. FIDEA acted as financial advisor to the buyers.

The travel portal Wakacje.pl was established in 1999. Currently it is the leader among the domestic Internet travel agencies and travel portals. The professional team of Wakacje.pl advisors sells the services of over 100 recognized touroperators. The portal displays over 200 thousand tourist offers in during high season. The offers of all the touroperators are constantly updated on a 24h a day basis

After the investment, the new owners intend to further strengthen the market position of Wakacje.pl as the leader in the domestic tourism market, as well as expand Company’s operations to the most attractive markets of the Central Eastern Europe.
