“Business Leaders 2012” – Forbes 09/2012 4 September 2012

In the September issue of Forbes magazine a ranking of “Business Leaders 2012” was published, depicting profiles of prominent businessmen active in Poland, whose latest business achievements deserve credit and compel general admiration. Herbert Wirth, the President of the Management Board of KGHM Polska Miedź S.A., took the first place. Mr. Wirth distinguished himself with the successful takeover of Quadra, a Canadian rival of KGHM. Luis Amaral, the founder of Eurocash, the largest FMCG wholesaler in Poland, secured the second position with the takeover of its competitor, Tradis.

Professor Paweł Buszman, a physician and entrepreneur, took the third place. He was recognized by the jury of the contest for building, along with his business partners and leading cardiologists, the largest chain of private cardiology clinics in Poland, American Heart of Poland. Established in 2000, AHP currently operates through a chain of 21 clinics. In 2011 FIDEA advised AHP on partnering with a financial investor, Advent International, leading  private equity firm.

Marek Dojnow, Managing Partner at FIDEA, was one of the members of the jury of “Business Leaders 2012” ranking.
