On June 3rd, 2014, Warsaw played host to the 5th edition of Private Equity Forum & Awards Gala. The conference was accompanied by the awards ceremony for the best companies on the market.

The participants discussed trends on the Polish and CEE private equity market, creating global value together with PE funds and raising capital on various stages of development of the company. Adam Jabłoński, Partner at FIDEA, was invited as an expert to discuss the role of innovation in the Polish economy and capabilities of venture capital and private equity funds to support growth of innovative businesses during the “Private Equity – a way to innovative economy” panel.

The award ceremony took place after the conference and “Diamonds of Private Equity” were handed out for 2013 achievements. Mid Europa Partners was named the fund of the year, while Live Chat Software from Tar Heel Capital portfolio (Small Cap), Siódemka from Abris Capital Partners portfolio (Mid Cap) and Emitel from Montagu Private Equity portfolio (Large Cap) were named the portfolio companies of the year, with the latter being also awarded for the exit of the year. Jacek Korpała from Arx Equity Partners, together with Bill Watson from Value4Capital and Robert Manz from Enterprise Investors became the personality of the year.
