Financial advisory for Takoni in the acquisition of 100% of METKOM Group and securing acquisition financing 29 February 2024

Takoni, a leading Polish manufacturer of rubber, rubber-metal, and polyurethane products, is taking over 100% of the shares in Metkom Król and SW Armatura (“Metkom Group”), specializing in pipeline, gas, and energy installation solutions.

The Metkom Group’s profile as a leading pipeline solution provider is an excellent complement to Takoni’s polyurethane offerings.

The complementary nature of the offerings, a modern machine park, a portfolio of nearly 1000 customers, and its own production capabilities in the area of pipeline components align with Takoni’s development strategy in the field of solutions for the heavy industry.

– comments Jan Marcinkowski, a Takoni board member responsible for business development.

The Metkom Group was founded in 2005. In 2022, it generated over PLN 174 million in sales revenue and PLN 44 million in EBITDA.

I am glad that we have found a partner like Takoni, with whom we have been cooperating for many years. I believe that the merger of our entities will make our offer more attractive to our customers and represents an opportunity for a significant growth in business. Together with my partner, Marcin Gębusia, we want to continue to actively engage in the expansion of Takoni, Metkom, and SW Armatura companies while remaining on the boards of the Group.

– comments Tomasz Król, the founder and main shareholder of Metkom and SW Armatura.

Takoni, established in 1992, specializes in the production of rubber and rubber-metal products by injection and pressing methods for industries such as automotive, household appliances, and heavy industry. Since 2019, after acquiring the organized part of Gasket’s business, the company has expanded its offer with polyurethane products, such as pipes, wheels, and other mold applications. After finalizing the transaction, Takoni’s consolidated annual revenues will exceed PLN 300 million.
